Review Summary

Product Name:

V-fit G-RC Recumbent Exercise Bike

Product Type:

Recumbent Exercise Bike

Average Retail Price:

Around £150

We rate this one as our third choice. The majority of people buy this one, because of the very good seat and back rest. It is also well made and from a very good and well known brand.

Who Would Buy this Magnetic Cycle from V-fit?

One of the key features of this recumbent model, is the larger than usual seat and back rest which offers exceptional support for anyone with back or neck issues. It also makes this an ideal choice for anyone recovering from injury, or from an operation. Many buyers bought this one when they were trying to recover from an ankle injury.

As well as the very good seating and back support, this one also has over sized pedals. That prevent any risk of the feet slipping out. If that did happen not only the feet and ankles could be damaged, but it could also cause jarring to the lower back. Larger pedals are better for these types of bikes.

Those recovering from operations also made this choice as they knew they needed to strengthen their leg muscles. That is exactly why the manufacturers made this style of a bike.

V-fit G-RC Key Specifications

Like many of these bikes, this one also offers 8 levels of resistance. That allows the user to start off easy, and then build up the pedalling resistance.

There is a really comfortable seat, ideal for longer workouts, and there are enough read outs so as you can watch your progress.

This bike helps reduce user fatigue. It feels solid, well made and very easy to assemble.

Main Review of the V-fit G-RC Magnetic Cycle

Out of all the recumbent choices on our list, this one I think looks the best, in its smart grey and white colours. It has the typical steel tubular frame, and like many of the V-fit models, has a chip resistant finish. That is always a good thing as it helps prevent scratches and scrapes, and keeps your bike looking fresh and new.

Although this one is around £150, that is still at the lower end of the price scale. As such it is good enough value for money, considering its quality and that is made by a very well known fitness brand.

What the Buyers Said?

The best way of finding out if a product is any good is to read what buyers say, once they have bought the product and have had time to use it. Doing that can take up a lot of time. We have done that work for you and have summarised their main opinions below.

Quiet - this came out time after time by buyers. Many of these bikes can be really noisy when being pedalled. A lot of buyers commented just how quiet they found this one to be.

Easy to Assemble - Some of these bikes can be a right pain to assemble when they arrive. According to buyers this one is pretty straightforwards. Some of these may come with transport wheels, to help you move them around, this one does not have those.

It is however worth noting that some people found this a pain in the butt to assemble. A few said that feeding wires through part of the frame took time, but that the instructions were clear and after a couple of hours it was ready to use.

Great Back Support - When you first see the angle of the seat, it may seem a little strange. It however has been designed that way. The reason for the unusual angle is that it offers a great deal more support to your back. For many people, that is really important.

Short High Intensity Workouts -  A few buyers used this bike to do what are called HIITS. That stands for high intensity interval workouts. That would be something along the lines of a one minute warm up, followed by one minute going as fast as you can, and then a 2 minute slow pedal to cool down. You can then repeat this as many times as you want.

3-4 repetitions is uusually enough to build up a nice sweat.

Altering the Bike Length - This is very simple to do and can be completed in just a few seconds. That makes it a good bike if people of different heights wish to use it in your home.

“This bike will suit heights from 4' 8" to about 6'6". There is a weight restriction of 110 Kg (Around 242 lbs or a tad over 17 stones) ”
